The Confections

After last year's temporary diversion into loaves, Hazel decided 2023 was back to basics with a cookie box for everyone. You should find all of the following inside your box.

Coconut Thumbprint

A take on a traditional thumbprint, this cookie has cocconut flakes throughout the dough and is filled with a coconut milk caramel. Warning - it may be sticky!

Ginger Molasses Cookie

If you've received boxes from Hazel in the past, you've received four different gingerbreads over four years. This year, we're making the ginger molasses cookie from Flour Bakery and Cafe in Boston. We think they may be our favorite to date!

Marcona Almond Cookie

A variation on an Italian bakery classic pignoli cookie, this cookie is made with marcona almonds and almond paste and is topped with a marcona almond.

Chocolate Chip Cookie

Bringing out your inner child, this is decidedly not your standard Famous Amos. Honestly, it's more chocolate than cookie - filled with 72% and 55% dark chocolate feves, bound together with a little bit of dough. Matt usually makes these cookies about 3 times larger...but that didn't fit in the box.

Hazelnut Crisp Truffle

Back in 2019, Matt took a baking class in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Every Tuesday he would come home with boxes of truffles, croissants, and once a full cake - but this truffle was (and still is) Shannon's favorite.

Lemon Sugar Cookie

This is a variation of a classic holiday sugar cookie, but with a lemon dough and a lemon icing. You may get stars (as shown here) or rounds or snowflakes. Hazel thinks we should have cut dog bones.

Peppermint Meringue

Light and airy, with a hint of peppermint - perfect to eat or put in your morning coffee or evening hot chocolate.

Fun Facts

We went through 10 pounds of butter...

This photo required lots of cheese and resulted in a very disgruntled Hazel.

644 cookies is a lot.
