The Confections

This year, Hazel delivered you one of three items. If you would have preferred a different one, take it up with Jack Frost.

Rich Holiday Fruitcake

Cram jam full of apricots, cherries, raisins, sultanas, currants, and almonds, amongst other things, this is not your standard killer fruitcake! This loaf has been aging for a few weeks and is soaked in brandy, just how Mary Berry prefers it. It will taste better the closer you get to the end of the year.

Sticky Gingerbread

This is Claudia Fleming's ginger cake famously served at Gramercy Tavern in New York City each holiday season during the restaurant's heyday. This cake can be served with whipped cream...or just eaten by the forkful.

Assorted Marshmallows

For the inner children amongst us, this is an assortment of homemade marshmallows. You have three flavors: peppermint (colored red), chocolate (...if you can't identify this, well, sorry), and plain. Once you open the bag, try to either eat within a few days or store as airtight as possible.

Fun Facts

120 eggs are shockingly compact in the fridge!

We've been stockpiling shipping boxes for months. Hazel only chewed two...

This photo required lots of cheese and resulted in a very disgruntled Hazel.

To you and yours, Happy Holidays!
